This project is unrelated to any class that I took this semester. This is related to the GA job I am doing this semester. To be honest, I don't even think that this project can be called a game. There is no play element on this game. It's only a game demo! Ah, well, I don't care about it. I still developed it with XNA and must learnt new thing with XNA to make this demo happened.
So, what is this demo about?
The purpose of this demo is to demonstrate the full-capability of the evolutionary-controller developed by the lab of the professor I am working to. Through this demo we want to visualize the feeling of someone in a moving car. There will be bend, slope, dump, and bank in the track and there will be particular feedback on each track condition. Sounds interesting, huh? Yes, indeed. While you saw the camera moving through the track, you can feel the force you would feel in real world through your thumb.
Now this is the challenge of this demo:
1. How to draw the track?
2. How to do the collision detection with first person camera?
For someone who just learn about XNA for less than a month this task is indeed huge and really hard especially when I need to finish it within a week! However, I must believe I can do that. There are tutorials and samples on the internet and I have classmates who had experience with XNA.
頑張って!
