More art classes for this semester

It's so sad I couldn't sit on Game Animation class. Instead, I sit on Game Arts for producers ^___^ In this class we are going to learn about sketching, Maya, C Brush, and other arts tool. This will be a nice class and I will learn a lot from this class.

So, our first assignment is two pages full of "faces" in small size - like the size of a silver dollar and an art test. This is the description of the art test:

  • Low Poly Character Model and textures of a Live “Action Movie Character”
  • The Character himself should not exceed 500 triangles (+ - 5%)
  • Model and texture a live action hero from a film of your choice
  • Find and wisely use the best reference images from the internet
  • Model and texture the hero using MAYA (only one diffuse map 128*128, 256 color map, no lights in the scene)
  • Files are to be submitted in .ma format
  • Texture image should be in .tga format
  • Include a folder with reference images
  • Include a beauty shot (screen grab with no lights of model and texture)
Yup, I am only sitting on this class so I don't have to do the assignment but I want to. So today I doodle some faces on my sketch papers. Now I am stuck. I run out of idea of face shapes. I will continue tomorrow, scan it, and post it here ^_^ I just hope my drawing is dark enough for me to get a nice scanned-picture.
