Today we had another tough discussion regarding the game engine. Using CryEngine without a company name was tough. We might want to try be a developer under GameForge, the U company to get the license.
The other option we might use is using Unity. However, all the process (audio parsing, audio manipulation, and track generator) will be done outside the Unity. Mark said this is a great idea. Well, let's see. So far Mike said that GameForge is interested in our project. If they are willing to help getting CryEngine license, we are still going to use CryEngine.
Indeed Unity is not good for the engineers resume. However, it is the most feasible option at the moment. I don't mind writing everything by our own. Sadly, the producers are concerned about the limited amount of time we have - in addition to our other classes.
